Bailando 2011 was the seventh season of Bailando por un Sueño and was premiered on El Trece, on May 2011.[1] The list of contestants and dreamers was closed with a total of 30 pairs. This was the first edition of the country that has a pairing of two men and two women (José María Muscari in the male couple and Silvina and Vanina Escudero first and then Silvina Escudero and Sofía Pachano in the female) and the first time in the world that a contestant has dwarfism (Noelia Pompa), also like previous seasons the cast included international celebrities (Pamela Anderson, Mike Tyson and Larissa Riquelme).[2][3]

The jury was initially composed by Graciela Alfano, Flavio Mendoza, Moria Casán, Anibal Pachano, and Carmen Barbieri.[4][5] During weeks 5 and 6, Carmen left her place, and Marcelo Polino entered as a new permanent judge, after replace her in week 3.[6] But following the departure of Graciela Alfano, Carmen returned to the jury. Later Graciela came back to the jury to replace Carmen in Rotating room and Music from movies' round.[7]

The season premiere featured special appearances by Mariano Martinez, Carolina "Pampita" Ardohaín, Ariel "El Burrito" Ortega, the physician of Cuestión de Peso Alberto Cormillot and Griselda Siciliani, who performed dance routines during the show's opening. On May 17 began the competition and had a special guest; the Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho.[8] The premiere marked 37.1 points of rating, defeating all the competition.[9]

The season finale was aired on December 22. After two semifinals, former security guard Héctor "Tito" Speranza and the couple composed by singer Noelia Pompa and professional classic dancer Hernán Piquín, danced against each other four times that night: Reggaeton, Adagio, Latin pop and Electro dance. The winners were Noelia & Hernán, who got the 52.59% of the total public votes.[10]
